Send Email Broadcasts

The Email Broadcast screen enables you to send emails you have created in Practice Relief to your clients.

You can distribute emails to all of your clients, or select a subset of your clients to whom to send the email.

Note: You must first create an email on the Email Setup screen before you can send it from the Email Broadcast screen.

To send a pre-defined email:

1.  Select Broadcast from the Email menu to open the Email Broadcast screen.

2.  Select the pre-defined email to send from the Select Email drop-down list.

The subject and purpose for the specified email appears in the Subject and Purpose fields. These fields cannot be edited.

3.  Click Add Attachment to include an attachment with the email you send, and, in the Upload Attachment dialog, navigate to and select the attachment to include and click OK.

4.  Specify the address from which the email should be sent in the From Address field.

By default, this is the email address defined in your firm information, but you can modify the address in this field to send the email from an alternate address.

5.  Click Select Clients without filtering to display a list of all of your clients from which you can select recipients for the email.

Alternatively, you can specify an option in the Filter Clients field to send the email to specific clients, and then click Select Clients to review a list of the targeted clients.

o       Select the Users of a Particular Application Only option and select the application from the drop-down list to send the email only to users of a particular application, such as Accounting Power, Payroll Relief, Cloud Cabinet, or After-the-Fact Payroll.

o       Select the Tax Clients option to send this email only to tax clients.

6.  Click Select All or select the check boxes in the Select column for the individual clients to whom to send the email.

Note: You can send emails to up to 150 clients at a time.

7.  Verify your email address in the Test Email field, or enter another email address for testing purposes, and click Send Test Email to send a test email to an address you specify.

A test email allows you to review the email as it will appear to recipients so that you can verify and proofread the content. We strongly recommend that you review a test email before issuing any emails to your clients.

8.  Click Send Email to send the selected email to the specified clients.
