The system provides an intuitive workflow that helps you to set up and use features with ease.

§        Setup: The administrator sets up basic information for your firm, the staff members in your office, and your clients, including:

o       Staff Information: You can set up roles for each staff member, determining the features each staff member can access, and the rates at which tasks performed by each staff member are billed.

o       Billing Levels: The system enables you to configure billing rates for different roles within your firm to apply to all staff members in a particular role. For greater flexibility, you can also set up individual billing rates by task, to create different rates for individual tasks within a role.

o       Client Billing: You can easily maintain and modify billing-related settings for each of your clients and set up retainers.

o       Tasks and Expenses: You can establish and maintain lists of all of the tasks your firm performs for its clients, or all of the expenses your staff can incur while performing tasks, editing, adding to, or modifying the default task list to tailor it to suit your firm's needs.

o       Invoices: Options help you to customize the appearance of your firm's invoices and the information included on each invoice.

§        Time Tracking: Depending on the roles assigned, users can view, edit, delete, and maintain tasks and expenses for themselves or for other users.

o       Easy Time and Task/Expense Entry: The Time Tracking feature allows users to easily enter the time spent and billable time for each of the tasks they perform or incur for clients in the Enter Tasks and Expenses dialog.

o       Convenient Task/Expense Review: The Review Tasks and Expenses dialog provides a listing of tasks and expenses entered for specific clients or staff members or for the firm, including the date of the task or expense, the client, the task or expense and project, the actual and billable time spent or expense amount, and the date the task or expense was invoiced.

o       Simple Scheduling and Appointments: The Calendar makes entering appointments and tracking time easy, allowing you to synchronize your appointments to Microsoft Outlook, and automatically generate tasks for your billable time once appointments have been completed.

§        Billing: Streamlined billing and invoicing provides you with multiple invoice creation options and simple payment features to make invoice generation and tracking easy.

You can easily create invoices on screen without previously entering tasks or expenses, or you can create invoices for clients on retainer or from tasks and expenses already entered.

Simple options enable you to enter payments against invoices and review payment history for any client.

In addition, if you use Accounting Power and have set up your firm as a client, you can easily generate invoices in Accounting Power as customer invoices for the Firm Client, automatically updating all journal activity behind the scenes, and providing seamless integration between the two products.

§        Email Broadcast: The Email Broadcast feature helps you to create firm emails and send them to all of your clients or to a filtered list of recipients, sending emails only to tax clients, for example, or users of specific applications.

§        Reports: The flexible reporting module provides a comprehensive array of client, staff, and firm reports in multiple formats, to help you analyze your firm's performance and expenses, identify your most profitable clients or those that may be losing you money, review project profitability, and determine staff productivity.
